Our Journey

Fairhope Health Foods has been a cornerstone of the Fairhope community since its founding in 1975. For years, we were a downtown landmark, right on Fairhope Avenue. To better serve you, we expanded and moved in 2003 to the Eastern Shore Shopping Center, conveniently located at Greeno Road (Highway 98) and Fairhope Avenue.
In 2019, our store underwent a full renovation, transforming with sustainable building materials and adhering to Fitwel® guidelines from the Center for Active Living. This commitment reflects our dedication to your well-being and a healthier planet.

The next chapter began in 2024 when longtime owner Lynnora Ash sold Virginia’s Health Foods and its second Sunflower Cafe location in Mobile. This decision allows her to devote even more energy to our beloved Fairhope store and cafe. For 49 years, the Fairhope location has proudly served the community, and Lynnora is excited to continue that legacy.
